About the workplace

Nödinge/Kyrkbyskolan is a pre-school to year 6 school located behind Ale Square in Nödinge. The school is divided into a lower school building and an intermediate school building on two sides of a large schoolyard. The school has approximately 650 students. In our values-based work, we use the PALS model.

You are applying for a position as a mentor and teaching teacher in an intermediate year special education group. The intermediate year works in year-level teams. The workplace has an open climate and it is easy to feel welcome as a new member of the staff.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in our special education group, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for students in need of special support. The teaching takes place in a smaller, adapted learning environment where structure, clarity, and relationships are central components.

You actively work to strengthen the students' knowledge development, motivation, and self-esteem. The assignment also includes collaboration with student health services, guardians, and colleagues to create the best possible conditions for the students' development.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with broad qualifications to teach in grades 4-6. Experience of teaching in a special education group is meritorious.

As a pedagogue, you see the relationship with the students and their guardians as a prerequisite for success in your work. In your teaching, you are structured and clear with several methods to successfully meet all students. You can work independently and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues. To meet the needs of the entire unit, it is important that you are flexible and can handle changes in your assignment.
