Activity and Workplace Description

We are now looking for a special needs teacher who is passionate about student development and wants to contribute to promoting and preventive teaching together with teachers, the student health team, and school management at Sundbornsskolan and Danholnsskolan in the Svärdsjö school district!

Sundbornsskolan is a completely newly built F-6 school with approximately 160 students, and Danholnsskolan is an F-4 school with approximately 80 students. Both schools are located in fantastic surroundings where our wonderful students have excellent conditions for success in school, thanks to a dedicated staff group comprising approximately 35 employees. We need to complement our team with a special needs teacher so that we can better meet the students' needs and develop teaching to increase goal achievement.

Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher with us, you work both preventively, promotively, and remedially. Your duties include, among other things:

• Guide and support teachers in developing teaching, adaptations, and learning environments that benefit all students.
• Analyze results and teaching, both your own and together with teachers, to identify needs and areas for development.
• Work remedially with students who need extra or special support – in small groups, in one-to-one teaching, and through targeted interventions.
• Conduct pedagogical assessments and investigations, analyze and assess students' needs, and provide material for, for example, reading and writing investigations.
• Contribute competence regarding materials, methods, and working methods, and have broad experience with different pedagogical tools.
• Document, follow up, and evaluate interventions at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
• You will become an important part of both the school's and the district's Student Health Team.

Qualifications

The role requires:

• A certified teacher qualification for lower or middle school (grades 1-6).
• A special needs teacher degree with a focus on reading, writing, and language development or mathematics.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience with different materials, methods, and assessment tools within your specialization.
• Experience in leading change and development work related to teaching within your specialization.
• Experience in analyzing results and designing teaching at the group and individual level based on this, both in collaboration with teachers and independently.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date by agreement.
