Magelungen Utveckling is an employee-owned company that offers qualified treatment and change work for children, young people, young adults, and their families. Magelungen provides treatment as well as resource schools at the primary and upper secondary school levels. The goal is to create a context in the operations that is manageable, meaningful, and understandable. In all operations, research and evaluation are an integrated part.

Do you want to help create the resource school of the future – where students get to grow, succeed, and feel hope?

About Us

We offer school and treatment, where school is integrated with skills training and treatment. The operations are characterized by a hierarchy-free collaboration between different professions. In addition to educators, we have behavioral scientists, social workers, and family therapists who, together with school staff, provide students with support in their development. The school is aimed at students in grades 7–9 who are in extensive need of special support. The students we meet often have social, psychosocial, or neuropsychiatric challenges and frequently have a long history of school absenteeism. To help these young people achieve a functional school attendance, we work with small-scale operations, high staff density, strengthened student social support, and individually tailored setups based on each student's prerequisites and needs. We have a systemic and salutogenic approach where the focus is on working with the whole person and building on what works. Our goal is to offer a context where all students can get a chance to succeed based on their prerequisites.

About the Position

The position involves an overarching special pedagogical assignment. You will function as a special pedagogical support, advisor, and mentor for the school staff and work directly with the students through special pedagogical interventions. The position includes teaching in small groups, corresponding to approximately 50 percent of the position's extent, combined with subject teaching and full responsibility in one subject. An important part of your work will be to conduct pedagogical investigations and assessments, as well as to design, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized support programs and action plans. You will have close collaboration with management and colleagues to develop and improve special pedagogical strategies and methods. Additionally, your work will include applications for supplementary grants together with the principal and school counselor. Your role also involves actively identifying and contributing to the implementation of development measures at different levels within the organization. You will also be part of the school's student health team (EHT) and Magelungen's network for special educators, and actively work to promote health to strengthen student well-being.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to contribute to strengthening our special pedagogical competence. You are a certified teacher with special pedagogical education or alternatively a certified special needs teacher. You have proven experience in dealing with young people with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and psychosocial issues, as well as experience with assessments and documentation.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. It is important that you are flexible and willing to engage in a context where collaboration with your colleagues is a central part of the assignment. You can collaborate with other staff and students by being attentive, adaptable, and clear in your communication. You are motivated by and want to contribute to our systematic quality work, special pedagogical issues, new research, and are not unfamiliar with thinking outside the box. The school is aimed exclusively at students with extensive needs for special support, and therefore we would appreciate if you have experience working with the current student category.

Our Offer

Our operations are ideologically driven and employee-owned, a conscious choice that reflects our commitment and long-term perspective. We offer a meaningful workplace where every day feels important, close leadership, and a warm collegium that believes in collaboration and development, continuous supervision, and competence development within Magelungen's professional program, as well as the opportunity to influence how we build the resource school of the future.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent full-time position. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
