Uppvidinge Municipality is the largest employer in the municipality with approximately 800 employees. Here, we want our employees to feel a strong sense of participation, and there should be room for flexibility and development.

We offer meaningful work where we together have the opportunity to truly make a difference for the municipality's residents. Apply now and welcome to a municipality with a thriving business life, a rich association life, and proximity to nature!

About the Department

The Individual and Family Care and LSS Department is part of the Welfare and Care Administration in Uppvidinge Municipality and consists of four units with one unit manager. There are also two senior social secretaries who provide case-specific support and leadership. We work with authority enforcement according to legislation such as SoL, LSS, LVU, and LVM, as well as the implementation of measures according to the Social Services Act and LSS.

We want to make social work a field where people with competence, ambition, and heart can develop and create a stable foundation for the constantly changing social work. We focus heavily on creating stability, promoting creativity and courage, and want to give every employee the opportunity to grow and develop both personally and professionally to become the best version of themselves.

We offer a workplace where we support each other and work from a holistic perspective. You will receive close leadership, case-specific support, and teamwork across unit boundaries. We work with developing employee engagement, the Swedish Defence University's model, to create effective work teams with shared responsibility for those we serve, motivation in work, and employees' personal development.

The development and transition related to the new Social Services Act, where preventive measures, flexibility, and collaboration are central, pose exciting challenges and require courage and creativity. We are particularly investing in developing preventive work and meeting places for the elderly, and creating new flows and working methods across boundaries together with home care, home healthcare, and rehabilitation. We are seeking new solutions in ordinary housing to create good conditions for our elderly and facilitate for many to be able to live at home longer, with fewer needing special housing.

Job Responsibilities

As two employees move on to other tasks within the operations, we are looking for new and engaged employees for our team within all authority enforcement in elderly care. The position belongs to the Adult and LSS unit within Individual and Family Care and LSS.

The work involves close dialogue with those we serve and their relatives, as well as a supportive function for persons seeking measures and their next of kin.

You work both independently and in teams in close collaboration with colleagues in other parts of IFO as well as within the Department of Care and Support.
