Job Description
The position is located within the Social Services Administration, outpatient care. You will be part of the Child and Youth Treatment Group, consisting of 12 colleagues who work with children and young people aged 0–20 on behalf of the Child and Youth Authority Department. You will join a team of five therapists specializing in youth cases.
You will provide support and treatment interventions focusing on the entire family and their network. We work through individual conversations as well as structured family therapy sessions. We also offer targeted parent groups.
You will be the responsible therapist for a number of young people and their families. You will conduct and follow up on these young people's treatment individually or together with a colleague. We collaborate with the young person's private and professional networks. Family therapy in our outpatient care means being creative and daring to think new thoughts. We work in close collaboration with various units within social services. The assignments describe the needs, and then we create, together with the families, how and what we should work on together to achieve the goals.
Support and help are available from senior social secretaries, managers, and colleagues. All assistance cases are documented and followed up in the operational system Treserva. External collaboration is common – both at the individual and organizational levels.
Working hours are mainly during the day, but some work outside office hours may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a social worker or have education corresponding to the requirements in the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations on competence to handle child and youth cases.
We are looking for you who have experience from treatment work with children, young people, and their families. It is an advantage if you are trained in FFT (Functional Family Therapy), the COPE Parent Support Program, or Signs of Safety.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You should have good skills in collaboration as the assignment requires cooperation with your colleagues, social secretaries, and other actors within schools and healthcare. You need to be receptive, flexible, and have good ability to structure and take responsibility for your tasks. You have a strong commitment to the target group to be able to inspire, motivate, and convey hope for change to the individuals and families you meet.
Documentation and drawing up implementation plans are part of the work, which is why it is important that you can express yourself well in speech and writing.
A valid B driving license is a requirement.
