Social Worker / Unit Manager

Location: Växjö. Based at two combined locations with minimal travel required.

We are looking for a candidate with relevant post-secondary education, specifically a degree in Social Work, which is a REQUIREMENT, along with work experience in similar roles.

Experience working with children is considered an advantage.

We are seeking a self-reliant and flexible Social Worker/Unit Manager with commitment and a positive attitude for our operations in Småland and Blekinge.

Responsibilities: Initially, this is a shared role as both Unit Manager and Social Worker/Contact Person. The unit is growing, hence the shared role. In the long term, as the unit expands, the role of the Unit Manager will become more dominant. As the Unit Manager, you are responsible to the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (IVO). As the Social Worker/Contact Person, you are available to guide and provide security through individual support in daily life. You will serve as a contact person for several clients whom you meet regularly, including both adults and children. This involves providing all practical support as well as counseling. Counseling may consist of trauma treatment, crisis management, and discussions regarding violence/situations to increase understanding. Practical support may include transportation, contact with authorities, doctor's visits, identifying employment opportunities such as internships or jobs, and promoting good health through exercise. You will help the individuals living in our apartments gain increased confidence in their own abilities and greater independence.

Administrative tasks such as social documentation and creating implementation plans are also included.
