Job Description

You now have the opportunity to join our wonderful team and work as a Foster Care Secretary.

Your main responsibility will be to recruit and assess prospective foster homes, emergency homes, contact persons, and contact families. You will collaborate closely with child welfare secretaries. You will guide and support foster homes and emergency homes in their important tasks. You will also handle contracts and finances. You will have close cooperation with colleagues in your own group as well as with other internal colleagues and external partners.

Qualifications

In the role of Foster Care Secretary, it is important that you have a genuine interest in the target group. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to help others grow. We are looking for someone with a social work degree or other education that the employer deems suitable. Previous experience in social work, experience working with children and young people, and preferably investigative work and authority functions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law of Authority regarding Young People (LVU) are meritorious. Knowledge of BBIC, Signs of Safety, and training in the Kälvesten method is also meritorious.

Since the work involves a lot of communication and documentation, it is a requirement that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B-class driver's license is required.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a social work degree or other education deemed suitable
• Has many years of experience in social work, preferably with children and young people
• Is meticulous and structured
• Is secure, stable, and stress-resistant, showing empathy in complex situations
• Has good ability to express themselves in both speech and writing
• Has a B-class driver's license

Meritorious:

• Has previously worked with authority functions within child and family services
• Has knowledge of or experience with BBIC, Signs of Safety
• Has training in the Kälvesten method

Salary: Monthly salary.
