At WeMind's Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic (BUP) in Växjö, we are now looking for more colleagues who, together, will develop the unit and create the best conditions for children, young people, and adults. We are looking for you who are a social worker with a basic psychotherapy education with a focus on CBT.

Your new workplace

WeMind BUP Växjö has been in operation since March 2024, so in this role, you will have the opportunity to work together with colleagues to continue driving and developing the operations. The clinic is centrally located in Växjö with easy access to public transport and a wide selection of restaurants and cafes around the corner.

Working as a Social Worker at WeMind

The social worker is the link between healthcare and other societal actors, contributing the psychosocial perspective within psychiatry, alongside medical and psychological competence. Read more about the role of a social worker on our career page.

You are part of an interdisciplinary team and contribute with knowledge about patient rights and opportunities for support in society. We have high ambitions for close collaboration within the clinic as well as with our patients, care partners, user organizations, and relatives. There are great opportunities for specialization within the profession.

Main responsibilities:

• CBT treatment for children and young people
• Social counseling regarding support needs for patients
• Assessment of social measures
• Assistance at external meetings concerning the patient
• Mapping of the patient's social situation

About you

• Social work education
• Basic psychotherapy education with a focus on CBT
• Experience from a similar role within psychiatry (meritorious)

As the hub of the network, it is important that you are flexible, professional, and have good collaboration skills. You have the ability to independently take responsibility for individual cases as well as to plan and organize.

You have a strong commitment to your work with a high service level for patients, who often have more severe mental disabilities. You contribute to a good work climate and believe that the social work environment and team spirit are important.
