Do you want to work at one of Kristianstad Municipality's best schools? Everöd School is a grades F-6 school that includes primary school, after-school activities, and special education groups. It is located in the heart of Everöd with nature as its closest neighbor. Nature is close at hand in the form of forests, meadows, and waterways, which we are happy to use in our teaching.

Your role with us

You will teach the subjects Swedish, Mathematics, English, Natural Sciences (No), and Social Sciences (So) in grade 1, which also includes mentorship. As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the curriculum's goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching to the level of all students, with a focus on the student's best interest.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep up to date with events in the outside world and young people's daily lives. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the work group/school. You also share responsibility for your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work. You as an unqualified teacher can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 1-3 in the subjects Swedish, Mathematics, English, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the above subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at the university level. You have worked as a teacher in primary school, and we consider it an advantage if you have experience in conducting teaching and working with children aged 6-9 years.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calm working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. We want you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support, and you should also have the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is that you can create trusting relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure the work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-versed in the ethical principles for teachers, and you have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

To allow us to assess your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no eligible certified teachers, you as an unqualified person can be employed for a fixed term according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police record to enable us to employ you, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

We offer a temporary position with a start date of August 26, 2018, and duration until June 27, 2022. We will call for interviews on a rolling basis.
