Job Description

Tingdalsskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) beautifully located on the edge of the Söderåsen ridge in Åstorp. We have 320 students and 50 staff members working at the school. We have two leisure-time centers (fritidshem), one for younger students and one for older students, as well as a special education group. We have two parallel classes for each grade level and work together in teams focused on the grade level. We hold regular weekly meetings to co-plan teaching and interventions for the students.

At Tingdalsskolan, the student's accessible learning environment is at the center, and the educational mission is centrally linked to relational leadership. We build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians to give students good conditions for success, viewing differences as an asset.

We are looking for you who take responsibility for a good pedagogical operation and who always put the student at the center. We are seeking a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 4–6.

Our prioritized goals concern an accessible learning environment, equal opportunities for students, collegial learning, good attendance, and reading development. Professional development focuses on accessible learning environments and relational leadership to create good teaching for all students' different needs. In your work, you work systematically and continuously plan, follow up, and develop education based on the students' prerequisites.

Qualifications

You are a trained teacher with certification to teach grades 4–6. You possess good pedagogical leadership skills and have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and guardians. Important traits are also that you are clear, secure, and flexible in your teaching so that you can provide the guidance and stimulation that students need in their learning and personal development. You are also a person who has the ability to build trusting relationships. You have an open and inclusive approach that makes those around you feel welcome. You find solutions to emerging problems and move forward effectively even if you encounter challenges.

We would prefer that you have experience and are secure in your leadership role, but we also welcome newly graduated teachers to apply for the position.
