The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, adult education, as well as child and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, together creating a safe and developmental school and childcare environment.

Backaskolan is a grades F-6 school in central Ystad with approximately 350 students in school and 220 students in the after-school center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will, together with your closest colleagues, be responsible for teaching in grades 4 and 5, based on the school's governing documents and the students' needs and interests. Mentorship is included in the role. The role also involves evaluating and analyzing your own teaching, both individually and in collaboration with colleagues.

The position belongs to the working group for grades 4-6. Here, you are expected to be participatory and, through collaboration with colleagues, contribute to handling the working group's tasks and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a qualified primary school teacher with the eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 in the subjects of mathematics, natural sciences, and technology, or alternatively Swedish, Social Studies, and English, and have experience in teaching.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and work based on them in a natural way. You take responsibility for your own learning because you know that it is one of the keys to success in making a real difference. Therefore, it is natural for you to follow up and reflect on your own teaching. You have a solution-focused and enthusiastic approach with good ability to work in teams as well as independently. We value engagement, innovation, and interest in development issues.

You express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
