Job Description

Are you an experienced special needs teacher who wants to work where your skills make a real difference – every day? At Geijerskolan, we are now looking for you who want to take on a qualified assignment close to both students and teaching, with a clear mandate to influence. You will work in our two special education (SU) groups and have a central role in developing teaching and support measures for students in need of special support. Here, you will use your full competence – from analysis to implementation – in a business that values quality, structure, and professional judgment.

The assignment includes:

  • Conducting qualified teaching for students in need of special support
  • Conducting assessments and translating these into accurate interventions
  • Contributing to the analysis of knowledge results and the development of teaching
  • Serving as a support to colleagues in didactic questions and adaptations
  • Being an active and integral part of the student health team

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, drives the work forward, and has the ability to combine high expectations with strong relational leadership. You see the big picture, prioritize correctly, and contribute to teaching that makes a difference – for real.

Qualifications

You have a degree in special education and several years of experience working with students in need of special support. A focus on mathematics is an advantage. To succeed in the assignment, we see that you:

  • Have extensive experience in planning, implementing, and following up on targeted teaching interventions
  • Are well-acquainted with the school's governing documents and implement them in your practice with confidence
  • Have experience with assessment, documentation, and work with action plans
  • Have developed didactic competence and the ability to create structure, study environment, and progression
  • Have experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF)

You work systematically, using research and proven experience as a foundation, and are confident in making professional assessments. You use digital tools effectively and purposefully. As a person, you are stable, unpretentious, and clear. You have an easy time creating trusting relationships and actively contribute to a professional and development-oriented collaboration. Geijerskolan has 620 students from preschool class to grade 6, a large creative after-school program, and 80 engaged employees.
