Job Description

As a primary school teacher in after-school care (fritidshem), you are responsible for planning, teaching, and assessment in the after-school program, creating an stimulating pedagogical environment based on the curriculum and other governing documents. You are responsible for promoting the student's development and learning, finding strategies to reach every student, and strengthening them in both knowledge development and personal growth.

In your role, you will offer students a meaningful leisure time, promote diverse contacts, social community, and strengthen group relations. During school hours, you collaborate with the school. The assignment may include teaching in one or more subjects at the school. As a primary school teacher in after-school care at Monbijouskolan, you work systematically and professionally with the students' social and emotional development throughout the school day. We have high expectations that you document, plan, and analyze your work, individually and together with your colleagues. With these expectations come the prerequisites to perform the task: you have ample planning time and clear opportunities to carry out your planned activities with the children. During conference times, we work systematically to develop our collective competence and improvement work.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, are a certified primary school teacher in after-school care with eligibility to teach art or music. Experience working as a primary school teacher in after-school care is considered an asset.

You have good insight into the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your work, both during the school day and at the after-school care. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and good learning environments for our students throughout their day.

You collaborate well with colleagues; we learn together and develop the activity based on relevant research. We are looking for you who are creative, spread joy, and have a big heart. We welcome your application!

Monbijouskolan is a two-parallel F-6 school with 350 motivated and curious students. Most students are enrolled in our after-school care, which is organized by grade level (grades F-3) and stage (grades 4-6). Monbijouskolan is the big little school in the heart of Malmö.
