Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 4–6 to join Sundsbroskolan!

You will be part of the grade-level teaching team, where you will jointly plan and be responsible for the students' education and social development. Together, you will establish routines for the grade level, starting from the students' needs in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for every student in a safe learning environment with good study atmosphere. You will teach students in grade 4 of the compulsory school in mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology, where you will educate and support the students in their knowledge development.

You challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Sundsbroskolan, you are offered the opportunity to be active in the school's preventive student work and to be part of the school culture. In addition to your teaching team, you will also collaborate with the school's mathematics teachers, led by the school's lead teacher. Your manager is engaged and present.

Your duties include mentoring the class's students. In your role as a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, giving you the opportunity to follow their academic development and personal maturity more closely. As a mentor, you inform and keep the student's guardians updated on their academic progress through regular development meetings.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 4–6 in the subjects of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology. Previous experience as a teacher is considered an advantage.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create a good study atmosphere and learning environment for our students throughout the school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work and work effectively with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional approach and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

To fit as a compulsory school teacher with us, it is important that you enjoy working in teams and follow established routines. We view it positively if you work on language development in all subjects. We hope you have experience with grading national tests and are curious to learn together with your colleagues.

Sundsbroskolan is the school in the village. The school has approximately 500 students and good goal achievement. We continuously work on safety and study atmosphere to constantly improve the students' learning environment.
