Job Description

We are currently looking for a teacher in Music and Visual Arts for grades 2–6, as well as for the Adapted Primary School. You will be part of a team of certified and experienced teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' learning and development. We are looking for someone who is confident in their role and who naturally puts the student's needs and prerequisites at the center. You build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with the students and create an open, positive, and professional dialogue between home and school. You work based on the curriculum and current regulatory documents when planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on teaching and student results, both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues. Your duties also include planning and organizing school graduations and other performances, as well as occasionally collaborating with external cultural actors.

Your role may also involve mentoring some of our students. As a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, giving you the opportunity to follow their academic development and personal maturity more closely. As a mentor, you inform and keep the student's guardians updated on their academic progress through regular development meetings.

Qualifications

You must have a teaching license with subject eligibility in Music and Visual Arts for grades 2–6. Previous experience working as a teacher is considered an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's regulatory documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a calm study environment and a good learning atmosphere for our students throughout the school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional approach and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

To fit as a primary school teacher with us, it is important that you are engaged, flexible, have good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude. You have the ability to build good relationships and demonstrate a clear, professional manner in dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues. You want to participate actively in the school's development work. You want to develop your teaching and work systematically to plan, implement, and assess students' knowledge. You are clear and confident in your leadership and adapt teaching based on the students' prerequisites and prior knowledge.
