Nyhamnsskolan is a small school with great opportunities. We have approximately 370 students from grades F–9. Joy in work and high study motivation permeate the school, giving children the best conditions to succeed in their academic results.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a driven and engaged teacher in mathematics and Science/Technology who is passionate about inspiring students? Do you want to make a difference in a school that puts student development and learning at the center? We are now looking for a substitute teacher in Math/Science for a teacher who is going on parental leave. The position is initially for one year, with good opportunities for extension.

In addition to being responsible for your own teaching, you are expected to participate in various development processes and actively engage in collegial learning together with your work team.

As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to:

• develop teaching in mathematics, Science, and Technology for grades 7–9
• plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on our steering documents
• collaborate with engaged colleagues in collegial learning to develop both your teaching and student results
• work with a student-centered approach that creates security and a desire to learn

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is preferably a certified teacher in mathematics, Science subjects, and Technology
• has a commitment to creating meaningful and inclusive teaching that challenges and develops all students
• is flexible, solution-oriented, and enjoys collaborating in work teams
• wants to contribute to the school's development and work on strengthening both student results and engagement
• likes to create exciting and interesting lessons that make students look forward to their next class
• is flexible and has the will to see opportunities instead of obstacles
• wants to make a difference for our students

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
