Do you want to combine group accounting, team leadership, and an entrepreneurial spirit? We are now looking for a Head of Accounting who wants to help develop our finance function in a growing and entrepreneur-driven business. Here you will have a central role with significant responsibility, close collaboration with the CFO, and the opportunity to influence working methods, processes, and future development.
In this role, you will combine operational accounting work with team leadership and responsibility for group consolidation. We are looking for someone who likes to create structure, take ownership, and appreciates an environment where the pace is high, decision-making paths are short, and colleagues help each other across team boundaries.
This is a role for you if you enjoy developing, improving, and influencing. It is not a traditional management role. You are unpretentious, confident in your skills, and enjoy supporting the team in daily operations when needed.
About the role
As Head of Accounting, you have overall responsibility for the group accounting as well as payroll administration for the Swedish companies. You lead and distribute the daily work within the Swedish finance team, which consists of two finance assistants, one of whom also works as a payroll administrator. The role also involves acting as a support and requirement setter for the finance department in our Norwegian subsidiary.
You work closely with the CFO and are responsible for year-end closing, reporting data, and annual financial statements, ensuring that accounting and payroll administration maintain high quality and comply with Swedish regulations. The role also includes responsibility for tax calculations, tax returns, and close collaboration with the company's auditors, where you are responsible for planning, coordination, and quality assurance prior to audits.
You will become a key person in the development and efficiency improvement of the finance function, its systems, and processes.
Your profile
- University degree in economics, accounting, or similar
- Several years of experience in qualified accounting work
- Experience with group accounting
- Capable of working independently during year-end closing
- Experience preparing annual financial statements at both company and group levels
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish accounting standards
- Good understanding of the payroll process and payroll-related bookkeeping
- Experience leading and coordinating accounting work
- A structured and analytical approach with an interest in systems and processes
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you have experience with Nordic operations, specifically Norwegian accounting regulations, project accounting, and entrepreneur-driven, fast-growing companies.
We are looking for someone who is confident in their skills, unpretentious, and not afraid to work hands-on with bookkeeping. You like to take responsibility, support others, and create structure in an environment where a lot is happening.
You are analytical and quality-conscious, while also having the ability to see the big picture and prioritize correctly in a high-paced environment. You thrive in a role where you can combine leadership, operational work, and development, and where you can truly make an impact.
