Teacher for After-School Center at Gruvrisskolan!

Gruvrisskolan is one of Falun's largest F-6 schools, located in the nature-rich district of Galgberget. Approximately 500 students attend the school, of whom nearly 300 are enrolled in our after-school center departments. Galgberget is a part of Falun where both new single-family homes and multi-family houses are being built. The school has a great outdoor environment and excellent facilities, along with a staff group driven to develop the operations.

At Gruvrisskolan, the team culture is strong. After-school staff and teachers from primary school and preschool classes work together in year-group teams. The students are at the center of our work, and our collaboration to ensure student success is our priority. Our quality work focuses heavily on health and safety, and the school has a well-developed recess system aimed at creating security and daily physical activity.

Teachers for the after-school center have an extended responsibility for planning the after-school activities, which they do together with an experienced group of after-school leaders and student assistants at our two after-school departments. Each department also has a coordinator who serves as an important link between the departments and our school administration.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher for the after-school center, you have the ultimate responsibility for planning and implementing after-school activities based on our current governing documents, primarily within your own team but also for Gruvrisskolan's after-school operations as a whole.

During school hours, you collaborate with teachers in preschool classes/primary school, with the students' needs as the starting point.

Requirements for the role

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in after-school centers, alternatively preschool classes or primary school.

Meritorious qualifications

• Previous experience in the teaching profession (e.g., in after-school centers, preschool, preschool classes, or primary school)
• Good knowledge of working with students in need of adjustments and special support

Employment Conditions

The recruitment is for a permanent full-time position. Holiday cover position. Start date August 3rd or as agreed.
