Support Pedagogue for Disability Care in Nässjö

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a support pedagogue involves creating opportunities for individuals to live like others in society through participation, independence, and normalization, based on their individual needs and conditions. The support pedagogue shall support, guide, and motivate the individual in daily life with the aim of maintaining and developing their abilities.

We are currently looking for support pedagogues for several different operations within disability care.

The goal of the assignment is to strengthen the individual's confidence in their own abilities, thereby creating conditions for development, as well as security and structure in everyday life.

The assignment is primarily governed by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS), the Social Services Act (SoL), the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general advice, municipal steering documents, and the individual's implementation plan.

The target group consists of persons with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism or autism-like conditions, as well as persons with mental or physical disabilities who have decisions on measures according to LSS or SoL.

The assignment includes contributing to the development and knowledge of oneself, the group, and the operation. Methodological support and improvement work are part of the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Suitable post-secondary education comprising at least one year of full-time studies within university college, for example, support pedagogue (200 YH), or a suitable bachelor's degree from university college or university.

Experience in the field of work is a requirement. The competence acquired through education must have been applied in work, preferably with the target group of people with disabilities.

A Class B driver's license is required for positions within group housing.

As a person, you have a good ability to take initiative and to collaborate. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.

Interviews are held continuously.

If you are called for an interview, you must be able to prove your identity in one of the following three ways:

• Passport
• National ID card showing citizenship
• ID card combined with a certificate of citizenship showing citizenship.

If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA, you must also show a valid residence permit and/or work permit in Sweden.

To ensure the safety of the users, a certificate of conduct for work with the elderly and persons with disabilities must be presented before employment. You order the certificate yourself from the Police, and the certificate must not be older than six months.
