Academic Work is looking for a driven and engaged leader who wants to deliver exceptional results by building a high-performing culture within our delivery organization. As an Operations Team Manager, you step into a central and dynamic leadership role where you combine operational business acumen with a coaching leadership style to develop both our employees and our business.

About the role

As an Operations Team Manager, your main mission is to create results through others. You are the key behind your team's engagement and performance, and you are driven by seeing your employees reach their full potential. In this role, you balance four important cornerstones: you are a manager, a leader, a coach, and an active player in the operational business. Your success is directly reflected in the team's development and goal achievement.

You lead with clarity and energy, translating operational goals into concrete activities in daily life. You collaborate closely with the office's Branch Manager and are part of the local management group, where you actively contribute to the office's overall agenda, collaborations, and success. With us, you become a key player in an environment where we all live by the motto United by Ambition.

This is a combined role where you split your time between the leadership as an Operations Team Manager and another role within our delivery organization. Depending on your background, this means either an operational role such as, for example, a Head of Consulting or a Recruitment Consultant, or a more strategic role within Operations based on your previous experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Coaching: You build and lead a successful, engaged team. Through joint client visits, 1:1 meetings, and ongoing feedback, you coach and develop your employees so they reach their full potential.
  • Operational Excellence: You drive results through your team and ensure that you meet set process goals and KPIs. With a strong business focus in all parts of the process, you strive for the best possible margin, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Business Partnership: You act as a business partner to the team's clients and support them in their talent acquisition. You ensure high service quality, speed, and professional delivery at all levels.
  • Strategic Collaboration: As an active member of the office's management group, you contribute to the office's overall agenda and ensure successful collaboration across the entire office.

We are looking for you who

To thrive and succeed in the role of Operations Team Manager, you are a leader who inspires through great enthusiasm and energy, and you drive your team forward with a clear sense of purpose and goals. You are goal-oriented and responsible, with the ability to plan strategically and ensure efficient implementation in daily life. As a leader, you are also collected and stable. This allows you to maintain control and be a safe and reliable asset for your team, even when navigating complex challenges or working under high pressure.

In addition to your personal qualities

To succeed in the role, you are a cultural role model who leads by example and thrives in a goal-oriented environment with a high tempo. We are looking for you who have:

  • Operational industry experience: You have operational experience working at a staffing, recruitment, or consulting firm, for example as a Head of Consulting or Recruitment Consultant, where you have worked close to the customer and successfully driven your own processes.
  • A proactive and business-oriented mindset: You have a natural eye for identifying improvements in the recruitment process and are driven by creating maximum efficiency, high quality, and good results in daily work.
  • Leadership experience from a goal-oriented environment: You have previous experience of leadership in a goal-oriented business where you have worked with coaching conversations, driven processes forward, and followed up on KPIs and results.
  • Language skills: The ability to communicate effortlessly in both Swedish and English.

Employment details: The position is a fixed-term contract of approximately 12 months. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment after the fixed-term contract ends.

Our recruitment process

The recruitment process begins with two selection tests. They help us identify the candidate with the highest potential for the role and ensure a fair, equal, and inclusive recruitment. If you proceed in the process, interviews await, and finally a case study where we look forward to hearing more about your experience and skills. The role involves significant responsibility, and therefore we conduct a background check on the final candidate before employment.
