Support Assistant at the Social Services Administration

Job Responsibilities
The role of a support assistant involves creating opportunities for individuals to live like others in society through participation, independence, and normalization, based on their individual needs and prerequisites. The support assistant shall support, guide, and motivate the individual in their daily life with the aim of maintaining and developing their abilities.
The goal of the assignment is to strengthen the individual's confidence in their own abilities, thereby creating conditions for development, as well as security and structure in everyday life.
The assignment is primarily governed by the Support and Service Act for Persons with Functional Disabilities (LSS), the Social Services Act (SoL), the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general advice, municipal steering documents, and the individual's implementation plan.
The target group for disability care includes persons with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism or autism-like conditions, as well as persons with physical or mental disabilities/neuropsychiatric conditions.
Qualifications
- A three-year upper secondary education equivalent to a Child and Youth Program or Care and Nursing Program is required.
- A Class B driver's license is required for positions in group homes and supported living.
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities is required.

Recruitment Process
Interviews are held continuously. If you are called for an interview, you must be able to verify your identity in one of the following three ways:
- Passport
- National ID card showing citizenship
- ID card combined with a certificate of personal data showing citizenship
If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA, you must also present a valid residence permit and/or work permit in Sweden.
To ensure the safety of users, a police certificate of conduct for work with the elderly and persons with disabilities must be presented prior to employment. You order the certificate yourself from the Police; the certificate must not be older than six months.
