We are looking for an engaged Support Educator/Support Assistant for our short-term care facility in Löddeköpinge

About the job

Here, children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities have the opportunity for a change of environment and recreation through meaningful activities, while their relatives receive respite care.

As a support educator/support assistant, you plan the daily work, mentor colleagues, and ensure that support is adapted to each individual's needs. You work both in our facilities in Löddeköpinge and out in the community, with the goal of strengthening the individual's independence.

You collaborate closely with educators, coordinators, and the unit manager, and receive support through introduction, competence development, and a network of other support educators.

Working hours are irregular and follow a schedule adapted to when the children and young people are present at the facility, which means working during the day, evenings, and weekends.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a high school education in care and nursing, child and youth activities, or equivalent.
• Are trained as a nursing assistant (grades must be attached to the application).
• Have post-secondary specialization in the field of disability (at least 60 university credits or 200 YH credits).
• Have experience/training in working with people with disabilities and have knowledge of low-affective interaction and clear pedagogy.

You have experience working with people with disabilities and possess knowledge of low-affective interaction and clear pedagogy. You are confident in your professional role, perceptive, patient, and have a genuine interest in people. You must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish.

It is meritorious if you have experience in mentoring or pedagogical responsibility, as well as an interest in development work. A class B driver's license is required.
