Do you want to be part of meeting some of social services' most important challenges?
We want to be honest: we have significant challenges, but also great opportunities. Therefore, we are looking for you who see opportunities where others see obstacles, feel confident in your profession, and wish to contribute knowledge, commitment, and courage. With us, you will help develop a foster care service where the child's best interest truly drives our actions.
Our direction – the child's best interest at the center
We aim to create a foster care service where children's rights according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child not only guide our work but permeate our decisions, interventions, and follow-ups.
To succeed, we need to build sustainable structures, strengthen collaboration between different professions, and ensure that the right interventions are provided at the right time. We want to create a social service that is experienced as safe, clear, and present for children, parents, and foster families.
Focus on the child's future
Our mission is about more than just handling today's situation – we aim to create conditions for the child's future.
We work to strengthen parents' caregiving abilities and enable reunification when it is possible and deemed to be in the child's best interest. As support in this, we have among others our newly established Stella Reception Center and our interdisciplinary SUIT team, which works with families where concern is high and the risk of placement is great.
When reunification is not possible, we take responsibility for ensuring the child has a safe and stable upbringing. At the same time, we safeguard the child's relationships, identity, and sense of belonging.
We also know that stable foster homes are crucial for children's development. Therefore, we want to develop close and professional support for our foster families through supervision, follow-up, and opportunities for knowledge exchange. Foster families should feel seen, involved, and equipped for their important mission.
What we offer

- A new leadership structure where a manager is specifically responsible for introduction, support, and competence development.

- Are educated as a Social Worker (Socialsekreterare/Socionom).
- Feel confident in conversations with children and have a clear child's perspective.
- Preferably have education in children's rights or child rights work.
- Easily create relationships and act as a support for both parents and foster families.
- Have experience with authority exercises, case handling, and documentation.
- Express yourself well in speech and writing.
