JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you want to make a difference and help people who have found themselves in vulnerable situations, while also contributing to the municipality's development of social work? At the Individual and Family Administration, we are now looking for an engaged and experienced social secretary who wishes to take on the role of social secretary with extended responsibilities.
As a social secretary with extended responsibilities, you will have a key role in the Foster Care Unit. You will work independently to plan and follow the unit's tasks according to current legislation and routines. In this role, you will be a support for your colleagues and actively contribute to raising the competence in the team. Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Distribution of cases as well as supervision and support to case handlers in their daily work
- Supervision and decision-making in preliminary assessments as well as emergency cases
- Quality assurance of documentation and investigation, as well as control of legal security according to legislation and guidelines in case handling
- Keeping up with current legislation, guidelines, and routines, and making decisions according to the current delegation order
- Involvement in the development of guidelines and methods within the operations
- Certain case handling may occur

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is secure and stable, with the ability to make well-founded decisions even under pressure. You thrive in a supportive role, collaborate easily, and are happy to contribute to others' development. You build trust, communicate clearly, and collaborate smoothly both internally and externally. With a strong commitment to the mission of social services, you drive quality and development in social work. You are structured, can prioritize both your own and the team's work, and have the ability to see the big picture without losing the details.
You are confident in supervising others and have an interest in keeping up with changes in the field. You have good knowledge of current legislation and are accustomed to making decisions within delegation.
Requirements for the position:
- Social Work Degree (Social Worker)
- At least 5 years of experience in authority practice with children and young people
- Category B driver's license
We also consider it meritorious if you have previously held a leadership or coordinating role.
