Job Responsibilities

Within the Division of IFO Investigation Adults, there is a section offering an enhanced four-month induction program. The program is aimed at employees who are new to working with financial assistance, housing, or harmful substance use and addiction. Its goal is to provide you with a secure and high-quality start in your role as a social worker in our division. The induction consists of practical work under supervision in one of our units, combined with training, study visits, case-based workshops, and structured reflection sessions. This offers you a broader, deeper, and more flexible introduction to the role of a social worker. The aim is for you to move on to a regular section after the induction period and work as an independent social worker.

The section includes two senior social workers who, together with your manager, plan for your supervision and support during your initial time in the organization.

The positions advertised are for you who are interested in working in close collaboration with colleagues, handling issues related to financial assistance/housing authority matters at one of the units for coordinated assistance, where you work with citizens who need multiple simultaneous interventions within social services.

The role of a social worker in financial assistance and housing involves social change and motivational work for clients who, for various reasons, lack their own means of support and/or housing, while also investigating and making decisions regarding their entitlement to assistance. The role involves recurring contact with both individuals and internal and external collaborating partners. You will have a client-facing role and meet your clients regularly each month. It is an enjoyable job with great variety, different assignments, and many contacts, providing a wide range of tasks every day.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Social Work (Social Work Bachelor's/Master's)
• No or limited experience in authority work within financial assistance and housing, and a desire to develop in this area.

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Experience from other areas within social services
• Experience in other social work
• Experience working in other public authorities

The job requires good computer skills, strong administrative abilities, and good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish.

As a person, you are flexible and adaptable, enabling you to prioritize and handle changed working conditions and suddenly arising situations. You are humble regarding your assignment and maintain your composure even in stressful situations.

Since the role requires collaboration and teamwork, high demands are placed on good cooperative skills. A professional and respectful approach towards both clients and colleagues is central. We value your contribution to a positive work environment. To succeed in the role, it is also important that you are proactive, engaged, and positive, with the ability to balance client work with administrative tasks and documentation.
