Job Description
We are looking for dedicated activity leaders for Day Activity Services according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and we hope you will be our new employee. Your role as an activity leader involves user-oriented work where you provide support in activities to users with autism and intellectual disabilities with extensive support needs, where challenging behavior may occur. We work with clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling. Care tasks occur based on the user's support needs. You contribute to creating meaning and security where the operations are shaped according to the users' abilities and needs.
Together with other staff, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the operations. The duties include documentation, both individually and together with other staff. You prepare activity descriptions, implementation plans, and action plans to meet the user's interests and needs. As an activity leader, you have administrative and practical responsibilities that are necessary for the execution of the operations. You are expected to participate actively in any change work and constantly work solution-focused for the best interests of the users.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must have completed and approved studies from the Care and Nursing program or the Child and Youth program, or alternatively other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
It is a requirement that you have:
- Experience working with users with autism and intellectual disabilities with extensive support needs within person group 1 (Pg1) according to LSS
- Experience working with clarifying pedagogy
- Experience working with low-affective handling
- Experience and competence in working with people with challenging behavior and complex support needs
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as longer walks and cycling
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
To succeed in the role, you should be confident in independently leading and supervising users within day activity services.
We are looking for you who have a good view of humanity and respectful handling, as well as a well-developed pedagogical ability. You have the ability to collaborate and work closely with the users to jointly create content for the operations. The work requires that you are flexible, responsive, and creative. You have good social competence and can adapt to different situations and people. Furthermore, you are independent and confident in your professional role.
The duties may change and develop over time. This means that you need to be flexible, able to reprioritize when necessary, and take own initiatives and make independent decisions. You have a good ability to handle stress and can adapt to changed conditions. You are computer literate and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is an advantage if you have experience with documentation work.
