Misa AB is part of the Wilja Group and is owned by the non-profit foundation Stiftelsen Includia. Our vision is that with the right support, everyone who wants to participate in working life can do so, regardless of life situation or background.
Misa Uppsala was established in 2009 and currently consists of a team of 8 employees. The unit is an activity center focused on work according to the LSS Act (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), with a focus on individual development, participation, and steps towards employment. Later this year, we will open a new annex with space for approximately 15 participants, where we also see opportunities to develop interventions within digital and IT-based competencies.
About the Role
As an Employment Consultant at Misa, you work closely with participants in their development towards employment, internships, or increased independence. You map needs, plan and follow up on individual interventions, and coach participants in their development. The role is social, varied, and meaningful as you make a concrete difference in people's lives every day. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of activities, for example within IT.
Responsibilities
- Map individuals' resources and abilities to guide, motivate, and coach them closer to a workplace or studies
- Search for suitable workplaces for participants and provide follow-up support at the workplaces
- Maintain regular contact with employers, clients, and other networks surrounding the participants
- Plan, implement, and follow up on interventions according to the implementation plan
- Document according to current guidelines and lead simpler group activities
Qualifications
- University college degree or university degree in a relevant area concerning social work
- Experience working within LSS, activity centers, or similar operations
- Good command of Swedish in speech and writing
We are looking for someone who can work independently, structured, and goal-oriented, while also having a strong relationship-building approach and good collaborative skills. You express yourself well in documentation and have the ability to formulate yourself objectively and correctly.
Merits
- Experience with Supported Employment (SE) and/or work-oriented rehabilitation
- Experience working with people with autism and/or intellectual disabilities
- Experience collaborating with employers and authorities
- Experience leading groups or activities, as well as knowledge of or interest in conducting simpler IT courses
- Valid driver's license (Category B)

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Planned start date: October 1.
