Strategic Research Coordinator at APC Research and Disability Research

Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Do you want to help develop the primary care of the future through research and innovation? We are looking for an engaged research coordinator who wants to contribute to strengthening and highlighting research within Primary Care and Health at Region Uppsala.

In the role of Strategic Research Coordinator at APC Research and Disability Research, you will have a central position in creating good conditions for practice-oriented research. You will become part of a creative and knowledgeable team where collaboration, development, and new thinking are in focus. Here you will have the opportunity to influence both strategically and operationally, while contributing to building a strong research environment within Primary Care and Health in close collaboration with the university.

We offer a permanent position at 100%. For those who wish to combine the role with clinical duties or own research in an area relevant to the operations, there is an opportunity to do so. Start date is by agreement.

Your Assignment

As a Strategic Research Coordinator, you have a key role in developing and strengthening the research environment within Primary Care and Health. You work both strategically and operationally to promote practice-oriented research and development projects. You drive initiatives that make research more visible within the administration and create engagement among both employees and residents.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • participating in a working group to develop a strategy for research within primary care
  • supporting employees who wish to plan and conduct research and development projects
  • collaborating with doctoral students, researchers, companies, and operations
  • initiating and coordinating research-promoting activities such as seminars, method courses, and network meetings
  • contributing expert knowledge in research matters
  • processing study registrations and research data extracts
  • collaborating with Uppsala University, other regions, and operations within Region Uppsala.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • holds a PhD in an area relevant to the operations
  • has a degree in health care and clinical background and experience
  • has experience in planning, conducting, and communicating research
  • has experience in teaching, supervision, or other knowledge dissemination

Merits

It is an advantage if you have experience in developing research environments or research-promoting activities and have experience in driving projects and coordinating activities between different actors. We would appreciate if you have knowledge of university hospital units and the requirements placed on such operations.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in research and operational development and is motivated by creating conditions for research in clinic-adjacent operations. You thrive in a role where you build relationships, initiate collaborations, and drive development together with others. Our Operations

The position is located at APC Research and Disability Research. The main assignment of the operations is to conduct research, promote research, and disseminate knowledge from research. Primary Care and Health is a university hospital unit according to the national and local ALF agreement. This means that the administration's core operations shall, alongside health care, conduct clinical research and education as well as knowledge application and dissemination for the development of health care.

Within APC Research and Disability Research, research coordinators, research nurses, and university lecturers with combined positions work together. The operations have a research office and a research clinic with close collaboration between them.
