Job Description

We are now recruiting for the autumn term of 2026 for an engaged, flexible, and relational teacher for instruction in Swedish as a second language at the basic level, within courses 1–4. The courses are conducted as 10- and 20-week courses starting on August 10th. The teaching takes place both on-site and in a flexible format with a large component of distance studies for the students. The groups are small but have a wide spread in students' prior knowledge and study strategies.

This is the job for you if you enjoy being creative while maintaining a very good structure in your teaching. You have good knowledge and understanding of adult learning. You thrive by building teaching around content that is relevant to the students. You have a genuine interest in where the student is and where they are going in the next step. You use this as a basis for individual adaptation. You use digital tools thoughtfully so that they become actual learning resources.

You meet, or have a great interest in developing your ability to meet, the demands of adult education regarding flexibility and structure. You find balance in the work by combining your existing knowledge with new skills. You are attentive to how the students' learning develops and are not afraid to discuss less successful days in the classroom with management and colleagues. Problem-solving and creativity usually feel natural to you.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher in Swedish as a second language with at least 45 credits (hp) in the subject. In your teaching, you have good structures and the ability to handle the spread within the group you teach. Treatment and interaction are important to you; you build good relationships with all students.

Merits:

• Previous teaching experience from adult education (Komvux)
• Qualification in additional subjects
• Good knowledge of teaching students without educational background from their home country
