Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you will work specifically with our preschool classes. Together with teachers, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You will play a central role in early and preventive work, focusing on the reception of new students, early interventions, and the early identification of students in need of special support.

The position involves close collaboration with the deputy principal regarding student health services in the preschool class. Together with the deputy principal, you will participate in handovers, support teachers in working with structure, teaching, and additional adjustments, and work to identify students who need further support or assessment at an early stage.

As a special needs teacher, you will teach students, work on the learning environment, support teachers with additional adjustments, conduct pedagogical assessments and investigations, and write and follow up on action plans. You will also collaborate with other student health competencies and external actors.

Qualifications

You are a certified primary school teacher for grades F–3 with qualifications in at least Swedish as a second language and mathematics. You hold a special needs teacher degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. You have experience working as a teaching teacher in lower primary school. As a special needs teacher, you must be able to teach, monitor, and assess students' language and reading development. Therefore, it is important that you have good linguistic competence in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You are self-led in your role. You easily build relationships and enjoy varied work with significant responsibility. You are collaborative, flexible, and curious. In the classroom, you demonstrate clear leadership. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work effectively with relevant digital tools.
