About the School

Practical Gymnasium Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is interwoven with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and enjoyable learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Plumbing and Property, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role

This is a permanent position with 100% employment, starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students within the Plumbing and Property program, specializing as a Plumbing Technician. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to job-specific tasks, you will have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues will coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in Plumbing and Property. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. If you lack teacher certification, you still have the opportunity to apply for the position. In such cases, you and the school principal will jointly create a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible way. The job responsibilities include contact with the business community, as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is an asset.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your biggest task is to guide them there!
