Kalmarsunds Gymnasium Consortium is a municipal consortium tasked with operating and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4,000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.

Jenny Nyströmskolan is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsunds Gymnasium Consortium and has just over 800 students distributed across six different national programs and three introduction programs. Within Jenny Nyströmskolan, there is also an adapted upper secondary school. We are a forward-thinking school with an open climate that believes in both you as staff and our students.

Responsibilities

Teaching on the Introduction Programs. You will serve as a mentor for students on the programs and participate in work teams and subject teams.

Qualifications

Certified teacher for the later years of compulsory school and/or upper secondary school. Many of our students come to us with low self-confidence and a sense of failure. Therefore, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience working with students with ADHD/Autism (NPF) is meritorious. The position requires you to have good cooperation skills and to be flexible in your work approach. It is meritorious if you are qualified to teach Swedish.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• Working hours: Daytime.

Before an offer of employment is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record for work in schools must be presented.

To strengthen Kalmarsunds Gymnasium Consortium's ability to operate during heightened readiness, all permanent staff will be assigned to wartime duties (krigsplacerad).

The position is filled on the condition that it does not need to be taken over by surplus personnel or that necessary political decisions are made.
