Höör is located in the heart of Scania, with good train connections, beautiful nature, 17,000 inhabitants, and steady population growth. With approximately 1,400 employees, Höör Municipality is the largest employer. Many of our employees commute here.

Ringsjöskolan is a 7-9 grade school centrally located within walking distance of the train station in Höör. Ringsjöskolan is currently undergoing a total renovation expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The school will then have an appealing, modern, and functional learning environment. The school is popular with high demand and currently has approximately 450 students.
In collaboration with MFF and H65, the school has sports academies where students train in football and handball in connection with the school day.
The teachers at the school actively work to develop the quality of teaching to deepen students' learning. The school staff also actively works to ensure that education and the working environment are safe and sustainable.
As a Lead Teacher (Förstelärare) in Höör Municipality, you are particularly skilled in your teaching, base your work on scientific grounds and proven experience, and contribute to systematically driving the school forward towards higher goal achievement. You are constantly curious and engaged in analyzing, developing, and improving your own teaching based on scientific grounds, as well as being interested in systematically leading collegial learning to develop teachers' instructional skills in practice.
You show passion for teaching and learning and have both the courage and drive to realize your ideas with the student's learning in focus.

DUTIES
As a teacher at Ringsjöskolan, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching based on the goals of the curriculum. You work closely with colleagues in the work team and contribute to a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.
Together, you plan, follow up, and develop teaching to create good conditions for students' learning and well-being. Daily work includes teaching, mentoring, and relationship-building work with students. You also have close collaboration with guardians through continuous dialogue, development talks, and joint work regarding students' development and safety.
You will be part of a work team where you are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers and the school's student health team. Co-planning and assessment with subject colleagues is a natural part of the work.
If you are interested in the Lead Teacher role (not a requirement), it presupposes that you are well-versed in the different parts and content of the curriculum and can translate this into action. You have high competence in all parts of the teaching role.
The Lead Teacher role within the child and education sector involves an appointment for three school years with a working time of 40 hours of workplace-based time and 5 hours of trust-based time. The workplace-based time contributes to creating conditions for leading collegial learning, contributing to systematic quality work, collaborating with other Lead Teachers, and being a support in teaching development.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a positive, relational, and professional attitude. You are flexible, have clear leadership in the classroom, show great commitment, and have high expectations.
You should further be a pedagogically cohesive force in the classroom and have the ability to work relationally and achieve good study results. For you, the work with sustainable assessment for learning is central. You strive for all students to achieve further than they thought possible.
We are looking for someone who
- is qualified and licensed as a teacher in Science (NO) for lower secondary school.
- has good pedagogical ability and experience in creating good learning environments
- has the ability to motivate and inspire both students and colleagues
- is committed, flexible, and has good cooperation skills
- listens and communicates in a constructive and clear manner.
- understands students' different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge
Criteria for the Lead Teacher role in Höör Municipality imply that you also:
- through documentation can report at least four years of well-recognized work with teaching within the framework of one or more employments within the school system
- have shown a particularly good ability to improve students' study results and have a strong interest in developing teaching
- primarily work with teaching
- are assessed by the employer as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching
As part of the profession program's merit system, you should additionally:
- be interested in gaining merits
- have developed your teaching by systematically documenting, analyzing, and evaluating your teaching in relation to students' learning
- be well-versed in factors for successful school and teaching improvement based on scientific grounds and proven experience
Additionally, it is meritorious for the Lead Teacher role if you have completed any additional point-granting education related to teaching after graduation or have been involved in practice-oriented research.
Probationary employment may be applied if necessary.
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Working hours: Daytime.
The position will be filled subject to necessary political decisions being made and that it does not need to be taken for internal use.
