to apply for the job
You now have the opportunity to become part of a company that develops and integrates advanced command and communication systems for ground forces. Here you will work close to the end user, in complex environments where your ability to understand the big picture and solve problems is crucial.
We are looking for you who want to work as a System Integrator, where you will work both in a lab environment and in field operations.
About the role
We are looking for system integrators who want to be part of building a new business area to meet the increased demand for more complete support and total solutions. As a system integrator, you will be part of a team of approximately 15 employees who will work together to build up the new business area. You will work to ensure that command support systems function for the end user. The purpose is to create a common real-time situational awareness, quickly lead and communicate orders in the field, and share information between different platforms. In other words, you ensure that different systems are connected into one unified system.
You will be responsible for getting complex systems to work together in real-world environments – where software, hardware, radio, and networks meet. Here you will work in the lab environment or in the field at the customer's site, which involves travel as part of the role.
Examples of tasks:
- Integration, testing, and verification of radio, communication, and command systems
- Troubleshooting in complex system environments (networks, radio, transmission, and system configuration)
- Building reference environments for testing and validation
- Installation, configuration, and commissioning of systems in Windows and Linux environments
- Script-based automation for integration and configuration
- Support to customers during exercises and operational activities
- Work with both software, hardware, and system-near technology
- Documentation and feedback to the development organization
Your profile
To succeed in the role, we believe you are an independent problem solver who thrives in an environment where not all answers are readily available. You enjoy tackling complex challenges and drive your work forward in a structured and methodical way. You have previous experience working in technically demanding environments and maintain your composure even when conditions change or the pace increases. You thrive in a role where you get to work with and understand the entire system and manage the process from start to finish. Since you work closely with both colleagues and customers, you are also a communicative team player. You can adapt your communication to the recipient and build trust through collaboration and professionalism. Finally, you are driven by curiosity and a desire to understand how systems work – both technically and in real-world use.
Requirements for the position:
- Several years of work experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Networking (prior knowledge in system architecture, routing, transmission, data centers, building data networks)
- Programming, experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Bat, PowerShell), applied configurations for Windows/Linux environments
- Radio and communication systems
- Post-secondary technical degree (university, college, vocational, military) in Computer Science/Networking/Technical Physics or equivalent
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Ability to travel for work occasionally
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
The assignment is classified. Pre-employment requires passing a security clearance check according to current regulations. This may entail citizenship requirements.
Merits for the position:
- Technical background from the Swedish Armed Forces (Leadership role/Ground Warfare School/Technician)
- Knowledge of command support systems within the defense industry
