About the digital transformation
The Swedish Migration Agency is undergoing a period of extensive change. We are driving an ambitious digitalization effort that affects the entire agency – from processes and working methods to technology and culture. The focus is on innovative digital solutions, automation, lifecycle management, and agile working methods.
As older systems are gradually phased out, we develop and introduce new solutions, maintaining high demands for stable operations, accessibility, and security.
What does an IT Technician in Windows and IT Workplace do for us?
As an IT Technician in Windows and IT Workplace, you have a broad responsibility covering operations, development, and maintenance. You work closely with the business operations and, together with your colleagues, ensure a stable, secure, and modern IT environment.
Among other things, you will:
- work with operations, support, and monitoring of our environments
- develop, improve, and maintain hardware and software
- contribute to stable and secure solutions for the entire organization
- participate in and drive business development as well as continuous improvements of processes, working methods, and tools
- develop through continuous competence development.
Within the IT Workplace area, you are responsible for, among other things:
- collaboration tools
- printing solutions
- client management
- mobile device management.
Within the Windows platform, you work with, among other things:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory (AD)
- certificate management
- federation
- integrations
- SQL.
To succeed in this role, you have several years of experience working in Windows environments. Experience with requirements specification in connection with procurement is an advantage. You also have knowledge of and experience with established working methods and methodologies such as ITIL, DevOps, agile working methods, and automation.

You have good communication skills and express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing, in both Swedish and English.
You work proactively and prevent potential disruptions before they affect the business. At the same time, you constantly focus on improving processes, working methods, and tools to create an efficient and sustainable IT delivery.
In this role, you collaborate with colleagues in digital workplace and Windows, as well as product owners, network technicians, Linux technicians, system developers, support technicians, and process managers. Together, you create the prerequisites for a secure, stable, and business-oriented IT environment.
You who apply for the position have
- education in IT/computer science or other education combined with work experience that the employer considers equivalent
- knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Windows Server
- client management
- Active Directory (AD)
- administration of SQL environments
- Orchestrator
- federation
- certificate management
- scripting
- automation.
It is an advantage if you have:
- knowledge of the Swedish Migration Agency's IT environment
- experience working in large organizations or government agencies.
Terms of Employment
Location: Norrköping/Linköping
Employment type: Permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
Start date: By agreement.
Working hours: Full-time, office hours.
Remote work: There is an opportunity for some remote work based on the business's needs and conditions.
