You want to make a difference and be part of shaping the future. With us, you will receive trust, development opportunities, and knowledgeable colleagues. We work together and are convinced that everyone wants and can learn.
About the School
Bodaskolan is a comprehensive school (grades 7-9) with an attached A-resource, a special education group. The school is a place where people from many different cultures meet. We work to ensure that everyone is given the space, desire, and opportunity to develop, and that everyone feels safe, appreciated, and included. Characteristic of Bodaskolan are good relationships, engaged adults who take a holistic view of the student's development, and students who thrive and feel they are learning a lot. If you are interested in school development, are a teacher who wants to be a good leader and role model, and finds it rewarding to work with language-developing methods, then this job is for you.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be a teacher of Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language and English for grades 7-9. The role includes mentorship. You enjoy being a teacher and meeting young people with different backgrounds and prerequisites. In your work, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching. Therefore, we place great value on your commitment, your ability to work independently, and your pedagogical competence.
Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and English for grades 7-9.
You have excellent leadership skills and a natural aptitude for building relationships with young people. You also have good knowledge of and experience working with students in need of support, students with challenges related to neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), students with linguistic backgrounds other than Swedish, and students with norm-breaking behavior.
You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. Since close collaboration with guardians, student health services, teachers, and other school staff is required, good teamwork skills and communication abilities are essential. At the same time, you need to be self-reliant, ready to take responsibility, and enjoy working independently to thrive in the role. You are flexible, have the ability to take initiative, and dare to try new paths to find solutions.
