Just over 30 pedagogues work together at the school to ensure that the approx. 200 students get the best conditions to reach their goals. Your role with us

The position is placed in a working group for grades F-3, where you will teach in grade 2 together with 3 other teacher colleagues this school year. We strive for an organization with 2 teachers per class. We see this as providing the best conditions for you to give students good conditions for their learning. In the working group, you collaborate with colleagues regarding your students and receive support from the school's support structures such as other colleagues, common strategies, cooperation with the student health service, and the principal.

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learning and taking individual responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both in and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching to the level of all students, with a focus on the student's best interests.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep up to date with events in the outside world and young people's daily lives. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on the practical work and together with colleagues drive development work in the working group/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for the best guidance in the work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching certificate with eligibility to teach in preschool class and in grades 1-3 in the subjects mathematics, Swedish, Swedish as a second language, social studies (SO), or natural sciences (NO) in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the above subjects. It is an advantage if you have a pedagogical education at the university level. We would like you to have previously worked in primary school or have experience in conducting teaching.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, peace and quiet, and a desire to learn. We would like you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is that you can create trusting relationships both in and outside school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the working group's methods for continuous development.

Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure the work based on the given goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-acquainted, and you live up to the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

In order for us to be able to decide on your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching certificate. If there are no eligible certified teachers, you as an unqualified person can be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show a extract from the police record to be able to employ you, according to provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

Centralskolan is permeated by collegial learning and a common approach. The pedagogues at the school work according to a common structure that includes lesson structure, visual aids, and active work with the learning environment. Collegial learning is part of the school's development work.

The school has a well-functioning break hut "lekotek" where students can borrow things for their break activities. Teacher-led break activities with dedicated staff who drive and develop the operations are available as time permits.

The school's students often visit excursion destinations nearby such as the museum, nature center, Tivoli Park, Björket, etc.

The school has an active break activity and cooperates with SISU Swedish Sports Confederation.

The school is also a collaboration school with Kristianstad University, which means that we continuously receive students from the university within the primary teacher education with a focus on leisure time and school.
