About the Workplace

Vasalundsskolan is an independent primary/lower secondary school (Grades F-9) with approximately 400 students. The school is located next to the Lundsbäck housing area in the beautiful and green Vasatorp in Helsingborg, easily accessible by car or public transport. Collegial learning is something close to our hearts, and we work with it continuously. We enjoy working together and closely in teams, meaning you will never stand alone.

The school is multicultural, where Swedish culture lives side by side with Arab culture. Closeness to students, clear leadership, and sensitivity are important qualities that we prioritize in our teachers. For us, education and upbringing share the same bloodstream.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified Physical Education and Health teacher and have worked with all age groups in a Grades F-9 school. However, you will primarily work in lower and middle school (Grades 1-6). You must have documented experience teaching in the grade levels relevant to the position.

We would like you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and a drive to develop our operations. You meet every student with respect and attentiveness. You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as our students' language development must be constantly strengthened.

As a teacher here, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational school. You lead and develop the pedagogical activities together with the various work teams. You possess good leadership skills to create good conditions for a positive learning environment together with your students. Regardless of where you are in your career, you contribute to the students' social well-being by working compensatorily. You should be able to handle challenges from students and also rejoice in their successes.

As a person, you are solution-focused, non-hierarchical, flexible, and computer literate. In your work style, you are result- and development-oriented. Furthermore, you create sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues thanks to good collaboration skills. For us, good and close collaboration is a prerequisite for both success and well-being. You should never feel alone with us.
