Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a combined position of music teacher (25%) and textile arts teacher, as well as resource teacher (75%), for the middle school level at Pilbäckskolan! As a teacher in the Tygelsjö principal district, you will be part of a team of teachers where you together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development. The focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.

You will teach students in grades 3-5 in music and textile arts, and serve as a resource teacher for classes in the middle school. You will educate students in your subject but also support them in their social and knowledge development. You challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. In Tygelsjö, every teacher's competence, responsibility, and drive are important. Together, we create the best school for our students.

Qualifications

You, as an applicant, are primarily a certified teacher with eligibility in textile arts and music. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work efficiently with relevant digital tools. We see that you create good relationships with students and colleagues, have high expectations, and a strong belief in the students' abilities. You keep up to date with current research and work systematically to develop your teaching. Based on current research and proven experience, you plan your teaching, where you can show connections between your teaching strategies and your students' results. Your teaching methods are varied and comprehensive, giving all students the prerequisites to achieve good results. Working with student influence is important to you, and you create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom. The job requires that you have good cooperation skills, initiative, a flexible approach, and a positive view of students. You handle challenges, participate in the school's development, and have high social competence.

About the Workplace

Pilbäckskolan is located in Tygelsjö, approximately a 10-minute bus ride from Hyllie station. Tygelsjö is a villa area consisting of an older center with surrounding newly built areas. The Tygelsjö principal district includes Tygelsjöskolan, which is a preschool class to grade 3 school with approx. 300 students, and Pilbäckskolan, which is a grade 4-9 school with approx. 540 students. Both schools have very high teacher eligibility, and our students have excellent results. According to the students, the school is characterized by great security and well-being, as well as good community between teachers and students.
