About the role and your responsibilities

As a special needs educator within the introduction program, you will primarily work within the program's individual alternatives. The role involves supporting students' development towards educational goals through preventive, promoting, and remedial work. You will be part of the student health team and collaborate closely with school leadership, teachers, study and career counselors, and other student health personnel.

The assignment includes among other things:

• conducting pedagogical assessments and analyses
• identifying and removing barriers in the learning environment
• supervising and supporting staff in special needs pedagogical matters
• contributing to the development of accessible and inclusive learning environments
• participating in the establishment, implementation, and follow-up of support measures
• collaborating with guardians and external actors

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have a degree in special needs pedagogy and experience working in schools. Experience working within the upper secondary school introduction program and with students with complex school backgrounds is an advantage.

You have a good ability to work independently and systematically, as well as an easy ability to build good relationships and collaborate with others. We value that you are flexible, solution-focused, and have a professional approach.

About the workplace

Just east of Lund's center lies Gymnasieskolan Vipan, Lund's only municipal vocational school.

Gymnasieskolan Vipan is a vocational upper secondary school with approximately 1,300 students distributed across the child and youth program, construction and infrastructure program, sales and service program, hotel and tourism program, restaurant and food program, plumbing and property program, apprenticeship program, and care and nursing program. The introduction programs and adapted upper secondary school are also located here. Vipan is characterized by a good atmosphere and great engagement from both students and staff.
