Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a primary and lower secondary school teacher (grades 7-9) in Mathematics for Lindängeskolan!

You will teach Mathematics in grade 7, covering three classes with approximately 20 students each. During two of the four lessons, a special needs teacher in Mathematics works within the class. You are part of the Mathematics subject team, which holds joint planning, joint assessment, and subject development meetings every Thursday during conference time. You will serve as a mentor for approximately 12-15 students, meeting with them daily at the start of the school day for a 30-minute mentor session. You work within the mentor team (grade 7), representing the school's various subjects together. You drive student learning together, focusing on a positive learning environment, teaching students how to learn, and fostering active thinking. The mentor team has conference time every Tuesday.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach Mathematics in grades 7-9. Previous teaching experience is considered an advantage. Experience in collaborative planning and assessment, as well as knowledge of Hattie's theories on effective mathematics teaching, are also considered advantageous.

You have a good understanding of and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a study-friendly atmosphere and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good familiarity and practice, work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional attitude and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
