Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Study and Career Counselor for Malmö Idrottsskola (Malmö Sports Primary School). We are seeking someone who is passionate about the coaching role inherent in this position. As a Study and Career Counselor, you will guide and inform our students and their guardians regarding upper secondary education options, high school choices, career opportunities, and the future labor market. You will encourage students' interest and curiosity regarding their upcoming choices and specializations, while also contributing to increasing their general knowledge of working life.

You will conduct counseling sessions with individual students as well as with student groups. In your role as a Study and Career Counselor at Malmö Idrottsskola, you will collaborate closely with the student health team. You will also serve as a co-mentor in a Year 9 class and maintain close cooperation with other staff members to ensure students achieve their goals. Qualifications

You must hold a university degree in Study and Career Counseling. Experience working as a Study and Career Counselor, particularly in primary/lower secondary education, is considered an asset. You should have a good understanding of school goals and regulatory documents, as well as a high level of digital competence. We prefer candidates with some training or knowledge in coaching approaches. You have a professional attitude and work actively to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

About the Workplace

Malmö Idrottsskola is a unique school located in the Stadium area of Malmö. We offer promising youth the opportunity to combine their schooling with a focus on sports. Currently, seventeen different sports are represented at the school, and all students are admitted through selection tests. In total, there are 522 students across six parallel classes from Year 7 to Year 9. The teachers at the school are qualified and experienced, and you will become part of a fantastic collegium.
