Description

The main task of the administration is to convey knowledge and create conditions for students to acquire and develop knowledge. The education should promote students' development into responsible citizens who actively participate in and develop professional and social life. It should contribute to the students' all-round development.

The position is a temporary assignment during a regular teacher's leave of absence, with the possibility of extension until 2027-06-16. The position may also be split between two people depending on qualifications.

Special Physical Education Teacher

• Physical work, e.g., participation in training sessions, to work closely with students in their athletic development.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in the subject of special physical education.
• Work individually and in teams.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate students' practical training as well as theory.
• Work closely with students and follow their development through regular individual conversations.
• Collaborate with schools and the sports federations for special physical education.
• Work according to agreements with the Ski Federation, e.g., participate in further education and certain competitions.
• Be involved in the school's systematic quality work.
• Follow the ski gymnasium's training philosophy, training structure, and policies.
• Camp and competition activities are included in the position.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a teacher's license as a special physical education teacher or equivalent experience that the employer considers equivalent. Please attach your teacher's license together with your application.

• Union training in cross-country skiing.
• University education in sports.
• Experience as a leader in cross-country skiing.
• It is an advantage if you yourself have been active in cross-country skiing at a high level, preferably internationally.

Upper Secondary School Administration

The Upper Secondary School Administration is part of a joint board for the municipalities of Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen. The administration is responsible for upper secondary education and adult education in the three collaborating municipalities. We are a school with high competence among staff and good results among students. We focus on students' knowledge development and have strong confidence in teachers' abilities. The operation currently includes 14 national programs, introductory programs, sports gymnasium, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), and distance university studies. The school has approximately 1,100 students at the youth gymnasium and approximately 600 students in adult education.
