Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) makes 21 million decisions that impact people's lives and society as a whole. We pay out approximately 260 billion SEK annually. These are everyone's tax funds we are entrusted with. This is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we delve into every case, adhere to laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show consideration. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to Försäkringskassan.

Are you analytical, meticulous, accustomed to driving investigations forward, and motivated by contributing to a safer society? Within the control operations, we work on investigating suspected benefit crimes, ranging from simpler cases to organized and systematic criminality. You will have a varied role where administrative tasks are combined with qualified investigations and independent decision-making.

Investigations, analyses, and teamwork

As a social insurance investigator, you have an important mission: to help citizens so that the right person receives the right benefit at the right time. You provide the conditions for having an overview and feeling secure in all contacts with Försäkringskassan. Contact is made via phone and in writing. In your work, you conduct qualified investigations and subsequently make decisions. Every individual has a unique situation that needs to be met based on their specific needs. As a Social Insurance Investigator, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who are to work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

When working with controls, you encounter people who may have received benefits from Försäkringskassan on incorrect grounds, either consciously or unconsciously. You conduct controls that contribute to ensuring that the correct benefits are paid out. In cases where benefits have been paid out incorrectly, you must also decide whether to file a police report. You occasionally have personal meetings, including home and workplace visits. You collaborate with various agencies, including the Police Authority, the Swedish Tax Agency, the Inspectorate for Care and Social Services, municipalities, and the Swedish Enforcement Authority.
