About the role and your responsibilities

Lerbäckskolan is looking for a primary school teacher to teach Swedish and Social Studies (SO) in grades 7–9. The position is a permanent employment starting next academic year.

As a primary school teacher, you work pedagogically and socially based on the organization's goals and guidelines, as well as current regulatory documents. You are well-versed in the current curriculum and are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching, working to promote students' learning and development.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have a teaching license for the later years of primary school in the subjects of Swedish and Social Studies for grades 7–9. Previous teaching experience is meritorious. You have good insight into the school's regulatory documents and can apply these pedagogically in your daily work.

To succeed in this role, you need to be self-reliant while also highly valuing collaboration with colleagues. You must be skilled at organizing and planning your work, as your area of responsibility will be broad. You also understand that students absorb knowledge in different ways and can adapt your methods of conveying knowledge to suit the students.

About the workplace

Lerbäckskolan is a grades F–9 school with approximately 820 students in central Lund. Characteristic of Lerbäckskolan is a calm, secure environment and good academic results. In our values-based work, we place great emphasis on the F–9 perspective, and we have recurring activities during the academic year where students get to meet and get to know each other. The school has a popular music profile for students in grades 7–9.

Teaching and learning are in focus, and our students are given the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their experiences and abilities. All education is based on regulatory documents and builds on research and proven experience. Through collaboration and collegial learning, we develop our profession. A clear meeting structure focused on developing teaching is led by the school's lead teacher in collaboration with the school management. The school's student health team meets with all grade levels systematically with the aim of working promotively and preventively in collaboration with teachers and after-school care.

We work together to provide all students with the prerequisites to develop as far as possible based on their experiences and abilities. All students at Lerbäckskolan should feel well, feel secure, and enjoy school.
