We are now looking for a special educator (specialpedagog) for Ludvigsborgsskolan.

Your Responsibilities

As a special educator/special teacher, you work both operationally and in a consultative and supervisory capacity towards both staff and management. You should be able to analyze learning environments and stimulate the development of working methods and approaches within the framework of an inclusive perspective. Your assignment includes both investigative and developmental work with a focus on preventive and health-promoting measures. Through your role, you contribute to ensuring that our students who are in need of special support receive individualized and inclusive treatment and interventions that lead to increased goal achievement.

You also carry out targeted, individual interventions for students who need them. In the investigative work, you will, within your specialist competence, among other things, conduct in-depth pedagogical mapping, provide support in implementing interventions based on the investigation, and act as a support in follow-up and evaluation work based on the investigation. You maintain contact with guardians to ensure close collaboration between school and home, and you actively work with students who have problematic school absenteeism.

You are part of the school's student health team together with the counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, social pedagogue, special teacher, study and career counselor, principal, deputy principal, as well as the school's management group.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a special educator/special teacher. Previous work experience from working as a special educator/special teacher in middle school (grades 7-9) is meritorious. If you have experience in pedagogical work with children who have special needs, this is also seen as meritorious.

As a person, you are development-oriented, positive, and have good communication skills as well as the ability to see the big picture. We place great value on your commitment, your pedagogical competence, and your supervisory skills. We want you to be a stable and secure person who can create trust among the students. You treat children and parents respectfully and collaborate with other adults in the school for a meaningful and stimulating operation. You are creative and develop good learning environments for the students. You inspire and engage the students while setting high demands on them and believing that they can meet your expectations.

The employment is subject to a background check. Applicants must provide a certificate of no criminal record from the police before employment begins.
