Do you want to create public value and strengthen Sweden's collective ability to handle cyber threats? The National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC, is now looking for a Senior Information Security Specialist to participate in building up the centre's operations at FRA. Your assignment
As a Senior Information Security Specialist, you work at NCSC and the Office for Capability Development, Partnerships and Systematic Cyber Security. The office is to strengthen and coordinate society's cyber security by being a national meeting place and contact point for cooperation, partnerships and information exchange. The office's mandate includes strategic analysis, regulatory and governance work, support and financing, competence-building measures and exercises, as well as cooperation nationally, within the EU and internationally. The office also has a supporting role in cyber crisis management.
In the role of Senior Information Security Specialist, you will have a central and advisory position where you contribute to strengthening Sweden's work within information and cyber security. You analyze regulatory requirements, standards and recommendations and translate them into practical and target-group-adapted support that makes a real difference for our target groups. Together with other cyber security specialists and product coordinators, you drive the development of guidelines, methodological support and regulations that create quality, clarity and long-term impact in cyber security work.
To succeed in the role, you build strong collaborations and move naturally between strategic discussions and operational issues. You have many contact surfaces, both internally and externally, and work closely with leading functions, cyber security specialists, as well as other important actors and collaboration partners. You become an important voice in forward development and represent NCSC in, for example, networks, conferences, webinars and EU collaborations where you share your expert knowledge and contribute to advancing the cyber security field. The position involves both domestic and international travel.
You can
We are looking for you who have:
- Relevant academic education or equivalent experience that we assess as equivalent.
- Very good knowledge of systematic preventive information and cyber security work at both operational and strategic levels.
- Several years of experience in qualified work within information and cyber security.
- Good knowledge of relevant national and international standards, regulations, laws and frameworks.
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Certification within information and cyber security.
- Experience of developing and managing regulations and internal rules.
- Experience of standardization work or other normative work.
- Experience related to NIS/NIS2, the Cyber Security Act and/or similar regulations.
- Experience of working with other relevant legislation, such as CER, DORA, CRA, security protection and data protection.
- Experience of producing guidelines, educational material and recommendations.

The workplace is currently located in Stockholm. New premises are to be ready in Bergshamra within a few years. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is an approved security investigation with register control. The security investigation will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized for war service.
