Vasavångskolan is a secondary school for grades 7–9 where safety, knowledge, and good relationships are at the center. Here, students and staff meet in an inclusive and developmental learning environment where we work together to ensure every student reaches their full potential. We are now looking for an engaged special needs teacher in literacy and writing development who wants to become an important part of our work with support, development, and student health.

Your Role

In the role of special needs teacher, you work closely with students, educators, and guardians to create the best possible conditions for learning and development.

You will, among other things:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for students in need of special support
• Assist the special educator with mapping and support in literacy and writing development
• Design adaptations and special support measures together with teaching staff
• Collaborate with the school's other staff and student health services
• Participate in the school's development work regarding inclusive learning environments
• Work in the school's study workshop where students are offered extra support, help with exams, as well as support in their schoolwork and study planning

Your Experience

We are looking for you who have a great commitment to student learning and who enjoy working both independently and in teams.

We would like you to:

• Be a trained special needs teacher with a focus on language, literacy, and writing development
• Have experience working with students in need of special support
• Have good knowledge of mapping and pedagogical adaptations
• Be confident in collaborating with teachers, student health services, and guardians
• Have good skills in planning, documenting, and following up on support measures
• Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
