The role of Preschool Assistant with us

As a Preschool Assistant, you work together with your colleagues to create a safe and developmental environment for the children. You participate in planning and implementing activities that help the children learn and grow. You take care of the children, ensuring they are well, developing, and feel secure. You encourage their curiosity and help them become independent.

In the job, you collaborate closely with preschool teachers and have close cooperation with other colleagues. You also communicate with the children's guardians and sometimes with other professionals, such as special education teachers. You are expected to be engaged, helpful, and contribute to good collaboration. Together with your colleagues, you share responsibility, ideas, and experiences to create the best possible preschool.

Part of the role may involve being a resource for a child with special needs.

Your profile

You are flexible and adapt easily to different situations. You enjoy collaborating and working with others, and you feel confident working in various groups with both children and colleagues.

You have a genuine interest in children's development and learning, and you are curious about developing yourself as well. You are open to trying new working methods and approaches, and see change as an opportunity to grow – both as a pedagogical professional and as a person. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Our offer and other information

We offer two fixed-term full-time positions during the academic year 2026/2027, starting in August 2026, subject to agreement.

We also offer a fixed-term position for the autumn term 2026, starting in August 2026, subject to agreement.
