Do you want to lead the development of the next generation of combat boats? At Saab-Dockstavarvet, over 100 years of boat-building tradition is combined with world-class modern technology. We are now looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to make a difference in the marine environment!

Your Role

As a Technical Project Manager here, you will become a key figure in the project management for one of our customer projects within the combat boat sector. You will lead and drive the technical work and be responsible for a team of engineers. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal specialists – from early feasibility studies and quotation work to development, verification, and testing. Here, you will follow the entire product journey, from idea to a finished boat in the water.

In the long term, we would like to see you develop into a technical specialist role, for example as a product expert or expert in specific tools or technical areas.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, leadership, and collaboration. You have the ability to create joy and engagement around you. You thrive on motivating and coaching others. You are a structured and communicative project manager with a good holistic view of technical systems and processes. To be successful in this role, you should have several years of work experience from similar tasks. We would prefer that you have made the transition from design to project management.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Documented work experience in project management (planning, steering, follow-up).
  • Leadership skills in development work.
  • Experience with engineering processes, tools, and methods.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
  • A degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Shipbuilding education.
  • Experience from the Navy or the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV).
  • Knowledge of marine regulations.
  • Certification in project management (IPMA or PMI).
  • Work experience in the development of military products.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to influence and drive exciting technology projects within the marine defense industry.
  • Work with advanced technology in projects.
  • Personal development and internal training in a technology-intensive environment.
  • An inclusive work culture where we value courage, curiosity, and collaboration.

The location is Docksta, but travel within Sweden and abroad may occur. There is an office in central Örnsköldsvik that can be used to some extent.

Behind our innovations are brave pioneers, clever thinkers, and creative problem solvers. Here, you have the opportunity to grow, influence, and contribute to a safer world – while working with colleagues who share your passion for technology.

Your application documents, consisting of a CV and cover letter, should be submitted via OnePartnerGroup. Please note that we do not process applications received via email due to GDPR.
